His detailed report allowed me to make critical decisions with confidence. My brother, who is a seasoned contractor, attended the inspection and was also very impressed with Peter’s thoroughness and professionalism. He has since referred two friends to Peter. Aug 2020 - I am in the process of buying my first home and having Peter as my inspector made things very simple! I know on my next house I will gladly use his services again!read moreread lessBrandi Haas8/18/2025Peter was great! Very thorough and quick on questions or concerns when scheduling the home inspection. The report was easy to read and had plenty of visuals to go with the recommended updates. I will warn some that there is a credit card fee when paying online, although the invoice already includes the fee. I processed payment online, then realized that if I had paid cash I could have saved some money. Peter was super fast in refunding the payment and accepting cash at time of inspection. I would highly recommend using him!read moreread less
- Kelley Carrigan6/06/2025Had a GREAT experience with Peter! He was very friendly and professional & made the inspection process so easy for me! He explained everything that needed to happen thoroughly and did everything beyond timely. As he went through the house, he explained everything that was an issue or could be a problem in the future & what to do about it as well. He gave great advice and had my report to me by the end of inspection day, which was amazing. His report was very thorough and there were great pictures included to show the sellers afterwards. 10 out of 10 experience & I rarely take time to give reviews!read moreread less

- Marco Boston11/13/2024Extremely thorough inspection. Peter went into crawl spaces, etc. to assess for any deficiencies. He showed us any problems he found and what would need to be done to correct them. Nicely organized inspection report. I hope to have him return every year or two to find any problems that develop early before they become bigger and more costly problems in the future.read moreread less

Most recently was just a few weeks ago on a home we are in the process of buying. I cannot say enough good things about how thorough Peter is, not only during the inspection, but in the post-inspection report. Peter uncovered some significant issues with the home, which allowed us to negotiate a credit with the seller. Peter takes his time going through every item in the home to make sure that any potential problems are disclosed. He is available for any follow-up questions after the report is provided, and his response time is incredibly prompt. Frequently Asked Questions
Buying or selling a home can be a stressful experience, but we’re here to ensure you know what to expect during your home inspection.
A home inspection includes checking for any structural issues such as foundation cracks, roof leaks, plumbing issues, electrical wiring, heating/cooling systems, insulation, windows, doors, chimneys, etc. Depending on how big the property is, a home inspection typically takes 2-3 hours.
Ensure all inspection points are free from clutter, including any closets that might lead to a crawlspace or attic, and clearing some space around your home’s perimeter. It’s also important to check the functionality of all built-in appliances, electric, and gas. If you don’t plan to attend the inspection, make sure your inspector has access to the home, and all pets are properly contained or moved.
A home doesn’t pass or fail an inspection. Instead, a home inspection is a thorough audit of your home’s components. In most cases, there will be concerns marked on your home inspection report, but these are strictly informative.
While you can legally skip a home inspection in many cases, doing so could mean you may end up buying a home that has major issues that need to be fixed.
While a home inspector may recommend some minor repairs, they are not qualified to make major repairs. He or she can provide information about what needs to be repaired — and it might be helpful to know that information — but the decision to actually do the work lies solely with the homeowner. Not only does this give you the freedom to choose your contractors, but it also helps prevent a conflict of interest.
A home inspection can affect appraisals for two reasons: 1) The inspector may find something wrong with the property that would lower the value of the home, 2) The inspector may find things that need repair which could increase the value of the home. If the inspection finds issues that require repairs, then the seller has to decide whether they want to fix them themselves, or hire someone else to do it. If the buyer wants to purchase the home, he/she must be willing to pay for those repairs.
